Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has been declared fit for the four-Test series against Australia in October.
"A report submitted by Paul Close (National Cricket Academy physio) states that the player has recovered fully from his elbow injury. Tendulkar will join the camp (at Bangalore from September 30) prior to the series," a BCCI media release said.
Tendulkar suffered the elbow injury while fielding in the third Test against Sri Lanka in August and has not played any competitive cricket since then.
He was named in the Rest of India squad, now playing in the Irani Cup tie against Ranji winners Delhi at Vadodara, before pulling out of the match on medical advice following a feeling of slight stiffness in the injured joint.

IRANI CUP, DAY IV, DELHI VS REST OF INDIA
Anil, Bhajji guide RoI to easy win despite Gambhir's heroics V Veera Kumar / Cricketnext.com Chasing a mammoth 378 to win, Delhi lost by a huge margin of 187 runs on Day Four of the Irani Trophy in Vadodara on Saturday to hand over an easy victory to Rest of India. And although Gautam Gambhir fought a lone battle, scoring a fluent 91 but the wickets kept falling at regular intervals at the other end and that certainly did not help Delhi's cause. After Zaheer Khan, struck the first blow of the day, removing Aakash Chopra early, it was just a matter of time before Delhi innings folded for a mere 190. Anil Kumble (3-47) and Harbhajan Singh (4-31) were the pick of the bowlers for RoI. [1229 hrs IST]

Saturday 27th September 2008 Moyes ready for aggressive Reds
David Moyes says Liverpool and not Everton will dole out the aggressive stuff in Saturday's Merseyside derby.
The famous fixture has seen 16 red cards distributed during the Premier League era - more than any other match.
And despite Everton having received 10 of those - including the dismissals of both Tony Hibbert and Phil Neville during Liverpool's turbulent 2-1 win last season - Moyes believes Rafael Benitez's side will be the more physical side on Saturday.
The Everton manager used the recent comments of Sir Alex Ferguson following Manchester United's 2-1 defeat at Anfield earlier this month as justification for his claim.
Ferguson claimed his side were outmuscled after Liverpool came from a goal down to beat his team and give Benitez his first win over United as Liverpool manager.
Moyes has backed up his fellow Scot and accused Liverpool of "crying" foul over Everton's style of play when it is in fact they who look to get more "stuck in".
He said: "They have been games that have been hotly contested and I am sure this one will be as well.

England can play like Brazil
England can play like Brazil
Luiz Felipe Scolari is confident the English game is on track to match the style of Brazil by playing with flair and power.
Chelsea boss Scolari believes this weekend's clash against Manchester United will be an exhibition of "beautiful" football, with the Barclays Premier League improving standards every year.
"English football is fantastic and they have very good players," Scolari said.
"They play now and I think in two, three, four or five years in the future the players could be, like you say, playing like Brazil.
"Before in Europe just one national team played like Brazil. Now it's many countries do but before it was Yugoslavia. I think in England in a few years they play the same as Brazil and the Brazil national team."
Part of the learning process for English clubs has been keeping hold of possession.

Ganguly out of Rest of India squad
Sourav Ganguly has been left out of the Rest of India squad for the Irani Trophy match, starting on September 24, in Vadodara. Mohammad Kaif, picked from the India A side after his 94 against Australia A, has been preferred to Yuvraj Singh, Rohit Sharma and S Badrinath.
Ashok Dinda, the Bengal medium-pacer, got a surprise call-up to the squad that is meant to feature probables for the Australia series in October.
Sachin Tendulkar, who declared himself fit for the match, has made it along with Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman. Parthiv Patel, the other promotion from the India A side, is likely to open the batting with Wasim Jaffer.
Badrinath, meanwhile, will continue leading India A side, in the limited-overs tri-series, involving Australia A and New Zealand A, starting on September 15. His deputy will be Suresh Raina, fresh from impressive showings in the Asia Cup and in Sri Lanka. Dinesh Karthik, who lost out on the Irani Trophy slot to Parthiv, will be India A's keeper in the tri-series

Now PCB say Shoaib could be selected
PCB CEO Shafqat Naghmi, in a change of stance, said Shoaib Akhtar could be selected even if he doesn't pay his fine.
Akhtar was issued a legal notice by the PCB last month asking him to either pay the fine imposed on him by the PCB-appointed appellate tribunal or forget a national call-up.
But, Naghmi said despite the notice, national interest would be put before everything else when it came to selection matters.
"Let's just say we will prefer to give national and team interest priority and the reports we have got about Akhtar from our team trainer and coaching staff at the national academy is very good. So if he is fit we will definitely consider him when time comes," Naghmi said.

Brazil brush Chile aside
Luis Fabiano scored a pair of goals and Robinho added another as Brazil hammered Chile 3-0 in Santiago on Sunday. This superb victory now see them climb up to second in the South American World Cup qualifying table.
The visitors had failed to score in their previous two qualifiers but asserted their dominance against the home side with Robinho sounding an early winning when he was denied in a one-on-one opportunity by goalkeeper guardian Claudio Bravo.
Humberto Suazo squandered Chile's only chance of the first half when his shot just cleared the crossbar.
Brazil took advantage of that let-off, taking the lead in the 21st minute when Luis Fabiano headed in a free-kick by Ronaldinho.

Berbatov aims to be Red for life
Berbatov is not due to make his debut for the Old Trafford outfit until they visit Liverpool on September 13.
Yet Berbatov's desire to play for United is so strong - and his belief in the club so great - he cannot see himself playing anywhere else.
"I know I can develop here in the way I always wanted. That is the most important thing for me," he told MUTV in an exclusive interview.
"I am 27 now. I am at the biggest club in the world and maybe this could be the last step in my career."
A £30.75million deal with Tottenham was finally confirmed just past midnight, concluding a long-running saga and ending a dramatic day, during which cash-rich Manchester City looked as though they were about to step in and hijack the deal.

US OPEN Mens singles roundup
Roger Federer admitted he was a relieved man after narrowly avoiding a fourth-round upset at the US Open on Tuesday. The second-seeded Federer dug deep to defeat Igor Andreev 6-7 (5/7) 7-6 (7/5) 6-3 3-6 6-3 while number three seed Novak Djokovic also survived a five-set match to book spots in the quarter-finals. Andy Roddick joined the pair with a rout in the day's final match.
Federer is hoping to capture his fifth consecutive US Open title and had not lost a set in the first three rounds. In fact, Federer had won 21 straight sets at Flushing Meadows dating back to last year.
The 27-year-old Swiss, who has reached the semi-finals in each of the last 17 Grand Slam events, is seeking his 13th major championship.
But he was off the pace from the start, producing a number of poor shots before losing the first set on a tie-break after sending a backhand wide to give Andreev set point before another wayward effort saw the Russian take the upper hand.

Man City sign Robinho
Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Brazil forward Robinho from Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.
The 24-year-old had been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer but City concluded a deal for the player shortly before the midnight transfer deadline, with the fee believed to be a British record.

Ferguson hails Berbatov capture
Sir Alex Ferguson has hailed Dimitar Berbatov as a "key signing" in Manchester United's quest for a League title hat-trick.
Berbatov finally completed a four-year deal worth a staggering US$60 million to join from Tottenham just before the closure of the transfer window on Monday, bringing an end to one of the summer's major transfer sagas.
And while neighbours Manchester City might have sent shockwaves across the city with their own pursuit of Berbatov and eventual signing of Robinho, Ferguson is intent on ensuring United remain top of the pile in England.
"This is a key signing," the United boss told www.manutd.com.

Flintoff and Shah crush South Africa
Kevin Pietersen produced a bruising innings of 40 from 34 balls, before Owais Shah and Andrew Flintoff carried their side to victory in a fourth-wicket stand of 44, as England chased down a revised target of 137 in 20 overs to move a step closer to their coveted 5-0 whitewash. On a piecemeal day's cricket that was delayed for more than two hours then suffered two further lengthy interruptions, Shah and Pietersen roused England from a sluggish start with a third-wicket stand of 74 in 9.1 overs, before Flintoff scorched them to victory with 14 balls remaining.
